We have been experiencing the passing of tropical storm Hillary. We finally received some much needed rain over a period of several days. Fortunately, nothing like the flooding in California. My dog has spent the better part of the week in his thundershirt and even required some meds to get through the this past week! Poor guy, but alas, blue skies and drier "safer" weather have returned and he's no worse for the wear!
Anyway, the thur/fri challenges this week were perfect for what we were experiencing! I cased this card from a Frenchie video Love her creative ideas and easy to follow videos. I made this stormy scene and will send it to a friend who has to endure the unimaginable, so I hope it brings her some comfort.
The lightning was created using a versamark pen and heat embossing. Used 2ng gen stamping for the clouds and then sponged in sky using a variety of colors. TFL

That is absolutely fantastic! The sky and lightning are amazing. I hope your dog recovers quickly from his traumatic week. We have friends whose dog ran away one year during a big firework display and was missing for three days, she was not fond of thunder either.

This is a great scene. Can you share which video of Frenchie's that you followed. I'd like to try this with palm trees after just having gone through Idalia. Thank you!
Wow! This is gorgeous! I love rain but I am not a fain of lightning! We have one cat that will stare outside and watch the storm and one cat that runs and hides under the stairs! So glad your pup made it through the storms ok. You captured a stunning stormy day!
