Our hostess for this week's Featured Stamper promised a Gallery of pure delight and her description is perfect. Tammy, aka Tkfite, creates beautiful cards and has an especially keen eye for CAS. I need a birthday card for a male cousin and as soon as I spotted this peaceful woodland scene I knew it was the one: In the Pines by Tkfite at Splitcoaststampers
I loved Tammy's card so much, I kept her blues although different hues; her layout sans ribbon; the trees although mine are dies and not stamps; and an embossed bg also different.
For my card, I wanted to capture the look of Tammy's card with the embossed tree bg but don't have an ef for that. So, I pulled out ALL my TH pine tree dies to create my wooded scene. I did direct-to-paper with the DOX -- on one cs I streaked and tried to keep it light for the furthest layer and then applied the ink direct-to-paper heaver for the second layer and the frames. Added the navy trees, framing and a birthday sentiment and my cousin has a birthday card.
Congratulations Tammy on being selected FS this week. Your Gallery is amazing and I loved so many of your cards which are sure to inspire many beautiful cards this week. I hope you enjoy them all. And, I hope everyone has a peaceful day -- the kind of peace that only Nature brings to one's soul. TFL

Debbie this is incredibly lovely, and how ingenious to create your beautiful layered background! You should make more for Christmas, if it’s not too much trouble.

I loved that card of Tammy's too. And I love how you have cased it here. Your ef is a very interesting choice. One I would not have thought of and it looks great as a background. That speckled egg dox looks great with the blue. Wonderful card, Debbie! Faved!

Beautiful! The layers of trees, the subtle colors, the design, and the ef in the BG are all perfectly done. The inking is superb. You are SO creative!

Debbie, the layered pines are so pretty. Great color choices and EF behind the trees. This is peaceful and serene and makes a super birthday card for a guy (or a girl as I would love it). Makes me feel a bit cooler this hot morning too. Great case. Hugz

Do I ever love this! I tend to gravitate towards trees/leaves rather than flowers, so this is just my style. The textures you create with embossing and dies is just great. I appreciate your inspiration.
