This week's Teapot Tuesday challenge recipient loves plants, especially succulents. Until I saw Pat's succulents picture, I had no idea they came in so many colors. I plucked inspiration from that picture and created a background with a stencil and various distress oxide ink colors. I then cut a few cacti from colored cardstock which I colored with pencils to add shading. Gave everything a splatter of white guache.

Yes, I see the various succulent colors in your beautiful background. Your painted flowering cacti are the perfect focal point! Thank you so much for making a card for my good friend.

My eye caught the beautiful colors and technique in the gallery and then I saw who the creator was! Hello, Jacq! I've missed you. Thanks for sending this beauty to my friend of over 40 years, Mary. Hugs.

I could see the inspiration photo in your bg even before I read your description. The colors combined with that cool stencil make a really fabulous backdrop for your main panel. Those die cut cacti are wonderful. I love the little patterns cut into each one of them and your shading takes them over the top. Fabulous card.
