This is my sample for CC952. Barbara is our hostess and she chose daffodil delight, melon mambo, granny apple green and coastal cabana for the color combination. Dessert option this week is to use die cuts or a punch.
I love this color combo and thought I would try making a Christmas card. I wanted to use these new Folk Art dies from CottageCutz and the colors were perfect for the house and trees. So I decided to put them into a snow globe.
I used some older designer paper from the "snowflake splendor" collection for the background and then covered it with vellum for a softer appeal.
For the snow effect inside the snow globe, I used the softly falling embossing folder. I covered the images with a window sheet, but you can't really tell in this photo.
I finished off my card with the peace and joy phrase. You have some bright and beautiful colors to work with this week. I hope you can play along with us.
Accessories: folk art house (large) die, folk art trees die, circle die, snowglobe die, peace and joy wreath die (CottageCutz), window sheet, softly falling ef (Stampin' Up) )

I love snow globes! And this card has so many details that work together to make it super-special--from the snowfall embossing folder to the vellum to the window sheet, all background players to make the house and trees just shine. What a fun Christmas card!

Looks like a Bavarian house in your snow globe with the colors and decorations on the exterior walls Like one sees in southern Germany, Mary. A delightful and charming Christmas card.
