My other hobby is making miniatures so I really enjoyed making the small tools to put on this card for Clint.
My BIL makes wooden Christmas ornaments each year as gifts for the family and often uses exotic woods. One year he used a wood called purple heart and it looks just like this paper.

So interesting to learn about the wood. When I was quite small my older half-brother had a wooden ruler, each inch was a different wide and that was my first exposure to the variety of colours and grain. The spirit level is especially cool.

My hubby is a woodworker too and I've purple heart wood -- it's gorgeous and so is your embossed purple layer. Great nod to using an exotic wood. Love that you included the ruler here. #1 rule in woodworking, "Measure twice, cut once". You created some wonderful tools and your created a wonderful card for Clint.
