My card is inspired by this delightful card from this week's Featured Stamper, Barbara Tarayao: Flower pop of color thanks by Barbara Tarayao at Splitcoaststampers. I love the bright colors and happy feel of her card. I kept her flowers, die cuts, velum, and layout; but used different stamps and added an embossed bg panel.
For my card, I stamped a jumble of flowers in a variety of colors. I had masked off white margins to more resemble Barbara's card, but somehow ink seeped onto the white space so I just cut the panel out and mounted onto white. I think the solid images in Barbara's card work better in this design than my flowers and I felt mine still needed "something". So I added the embossed panel to give it a bit more pep.
This starts my donation cards for this month's Cards for a Cause, Bethany Christian Services, which is an organization that provides social services to families and children around the globe. If you have some cards that need a home, here's the link with info about the organization and what types of cards they need: May 2023 Mission - Cards For A Cause by purpleflowers at Splitcoaststampers
While I don't think my card quite captured the fun in Barbara's, I do think I managed a bright field of wildflowers that I hope will make someone feel awesome when they get this. Hope you are feeling awesome today, too. TFL
