A friend had recently given me a magnificent gift, of a giclee print of a painting I'd photographed for her to make reproductions. The subject of the painting is the inside of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, after the fire. So I thought the French Hen from "Twelve Days" & the corresponding "merci" greeting would be perfect on a thank you card for her.
I stamped the hen on a scrap of smooth bristol paper, & die cut it with a circle die. I stamped the "merci" onto a scrap of a technique piece I'd done some months ago, & cut that down into a label. I used my Zig markers to add some color & shading to the hen image.
I used another Jennifer McGuire-inspired technique piece I'd made during Online Card Classes' "Stenciled 2" class for my background. I then inked the edges of 2 pieces of patterned paper from my scrap stash with Stormy Sky Distress ink, & also inked around the image circle with the same. Finally, I adhered all my pieces to the card front, & then mounted that to a white card base.
