Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a beautiful, rich combination: Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz. The dessert option is to add a fourth color. I usually jump at a fourth color, but this card just seemed complete as it was--unless you count white as a fourth color!
I have a huge supply of DS paper, and I hardly ever use it. I am resolving to do a better job on that, and so this card features three different DS papers. You might not be able to tell, but the flower and leaves are DS paper, not cardstock. I sponged the edges of the petals and leaves with the same color ink to give a bit of dimension, and added a small gem at the center of the flower.
Please join us in the gallery this week. I'm excited to see what fourth colors are used with this combo!

This is wonderful Barbara. I really like that you've used the DSP even for the flower. You've done a great job combing not just the colors but the patterns as well.

Great papers, beautiful card! Adding another color would have been a disaster. Perfect as is.

Good for you for using up some DSP and making such a beautiful card. I have been trying to use DSP, too. We all have so much of it. LOL Love your layout. Fabulous idea to die-cut the flower from DSP, too. Wonderful card, Barbara!
