For a CAS card, there is a lot of supplies on this card. I combined today's challenges: TLC is a Zentangle basket weave and CAS is add a bow.
If my title confuses you, the actual name of the Zentangle is Huggins, which is the last name of one of the Zentangle.com artists. Martha Huggins is the daughter of Maria Thomas, co-founder of Zentangle.com, along with Rick Roberts. Natasha's version is more straight lines; I chose to do Martha's version, which features orbs and curves. Both are awesome. Instead of the little lines Natasha adds, I chose to use a graphite pencil and a blue chalk pencil, along with a tortillon, to shade. A little more elegant looking, I think. The flower is cut from one of my panels from last week's TLC; it was made with reinkers, it wasn't that successful. I colored the inside of the flowers with pastel pencils in pink and violet. My Zentangle is edged with the stormy sky ink.
I will tell you a little secret....sometimes I get a little cocky about Zentangle and my first one was not good as in I didn't follow directions. I have done this tangle many times, thought I was too good to watch the video. Wrong, Jean! But as I was contemplating throwing it out, I thought I'd try to save it and I think I did. I'll do another card with it and you can decide if I saved it. It is a good lesson: there are NO MISTAKES IN ZENTANGLE! Thanks for the challenges!

I think it’s a BEAUTIFUL Zentangle basket weave! It looks so real with your shading. I can’t imagine what your next one will look like—this one seems perfect.

I like the curves. I was pretty sure I'd seen this version before, but the straight lines was easy for me. I like the way your floral die-cut ties in with the little orbs.

So awesome for both challenges. I have to try the basket weave zentangle (if time ever permits).
