What wonderful colors - thank you, Chris!
I die cut & pieced the bird, then added stickles. Added a dot of black for the eye and crumb cake for the beak. Die cut and colored the floral greenery. Added stickles to the wing and tail feathers. Die cut the sentiment- left it white to avoid any distraction. Die cut the frame. Assembled all the pieces.
There was a time when I would not even consider anything overlapping a frame. Since seeing so many beautiful cards that do, I followed suit. I luv all that I have learned about design from the wonderful Splitcoast artists.
It's been so long since I uploaded a card that I almost forgot how.

I have missed you!!! I hope it isn't because of your back that you were missing so long! At any rate, good to see you. I love your beautiful hummer!! Hugs, PJ.

Oh my! This is wonderful! We love the Hummers when they come to the feeder. Your die cut bird is so full of life. Love the way you have framed your scene.

I'm so glad you are back today with this beauty! Your hummingbird scene is such a great theme for these colors and you've arranged it perfectly. Love the overlap too!

Your hummer looks beautiful overlapping the frame, PJ! The stickles are so perfect since hummers seem to "shine" quite often. Beautiful framing, sentiment and blooms. A lovely creation~
