Congratulations Janine (Jay_Bee) for being chosen by Nancy for this week's featured stamper. There are so many inspiring cards in her gallery. I was inspired right away with this recent entry:
IC895_Picture5 by Jay_Bee at Splitcoaststampers and set out to case it more closely but this is what worked for me in the end. I stamped a heavy piece of c.s. with the birch stamp in crumb cake and sponged edges. Matted with baked brown sugar. I don't think I will ever get rid of this retired SU sentiment set and embossed it in white on the b.b.sugar and diecut it. Glued down and used thin dimensionals for the one end. Glued down snowflakes in various areas and was happy with the look. This is a top fold card. Janine, I sure hope I can case some more of your cards. Enjoy your well deserved week as featured stamper!
Forgot to list my changes: Used a sentiment and did A2 size plus focal point in a rectangle instead of a circle.

Gorgeous, Shirl. Love the two layers of weathered wood and how well they coordinate and tie the design together. You started with a lovely dp, but you amped it up with your fun design, snowflakes and sweet sentiment (yep, hang onto that one for sure). Fabulous card.

This is scrumptious, Shirl! Your birch background coordinates so beautifully with your pretty wreath dsp panel. Love the tiny snowflake stamped on your sentiment banner!
