We are enjoying World Pasta Day over at the TeaPotter's Party! MMTPT744. Our hostess this month, Vicki (vickydee) has brought us a challenge to showcase pasta. Yum! Right? I had to savor the thought for awhile.
I've brought spaghetti squash to the feast. My picture was actually torn from one of my favorite cook books. The photographs are amazing with each recipe facing a whole page photo of the dish. I quickly jotted down the ingredients I would need to make the dish and then tore and fussy cut that skillet and wooden spoon!
The quote from Julie Child was inked with Onyx Black and embossed in detail clear ep. I didn't have the correct rectangle die, so I used a smaller one, moving it to the areas I needed to be a custom size.
The beautiful embossed and glittered 'tablecloth' was from MME 'Home' collection. The lil' bit of trim comes from a yellow net bag Trader Joe's lemons. Simple, but loads of fun cooking this up for our party.
Thank you Sabrina and Vicki for getting us together!
Can't wait to see what everyone brought.
If you need to stir it up a bit, will get you going!

I love the way you stirred it up, Susan. And cutting up your cookbook is quite a sacrifice. Great card and sentiment. Glad you brought Patti to our party too.

Great sentiment! I just watched Julie and Julia recently after having read the book some years ago, so I can totally imagine her saying that. It was something my DH found very strange when he first started coming to our house, how interested the whole family was in food, and how meals were discussed and planned. He totally realises that he benefits enormously and is very appreciative. But I'm not sure he'd take to your spaghetti squash, whereas I would love to try it. The lemon netting is clever, and your tablecloth does very much remind me of a Portuguese traycloth I used to have. While I am an for using books on cards, I can't imagine sacrificing any of my cookery books

Coming from a family who loves to eat and has many good cooks going back generations, I can so relate to this especially the quote. I've never tried the spaghetti squash as pasta but i always thought it sounded yummy. Your picture proves that. Wonderful card to add to our pasta feast!

How brave you are to give up a page from a cookbook for your pasta dish! Well, it certainly looks yummy, and your sentiment says it all! Very cool card!
