This will go to a school in France to a class of 9 year old students who are doing a project this year called "travel around the world". We are to show things about our state and I have included a narrative inside listing some of the things Texas is known for.
Cowboys, Cattle ranches, & oil fields - Cotton, Sorghum & rice fields. Like France, Texas also has lots of vineyards and is the 5th biggest wine producer in the US.
Also, some things that are special to El Paso where I live. The farms here grow not only cotton but also lots of pecans and vegetables that are shipped to grocery stores all over the US. The city of El Paso is about 30 miles long and runs along the Rio Grande which is the border between the United States & Mexico. El Paso is known as the Boot Capital of the World with 49 companies here that make cowboy boots!

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed both your fun and wonderfully depicted card and your stash of facts. I did not know El Paso is the Boot Capital of the World! Love the way you colored your state image with your State colors. And that cowpoke just adds even more fun and Texas flair. Great card.

Love this, Linda. I had no idea Texas was a big wine state! Fun images. My parents were from Texas so a bit of my heart and our family's past are there as well. Fun, fun, fun! Hugz

This is fabulous...great images and what interesting info about Texas! I didn't know that about the wine (I know you've researched that quite a bit)..or the pecans. And all those boot makers...I know how popular boots are down there so I get that they'd have to a lot of suppliers.

Love this card and all the info you've managed to include. I didn't know about El Paso and all the boot companies. I'm hunting for a pair. I might have to make a trip.
