Color Challenge - CC912 - Eating Curry in the Poppy Garden - September 6, 2022
Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Garden Green
I used alcohol markers to match the colors as best I could. I decided to skip the Dessert option of including Fall elements.
I stamped the frame in black since it reminded me somewhat of a blackboard. I added the sentiment in black as well to keep the card black and white except for the featured colors.
I stamped, colored, and die cut the chameleon holding onto a crayon, using the same stamp three times to use for the three colors. I assumed that the chameleon would color shift and take on the color of the crayon - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I made the crayon wrapper slightly lighter than the rest of the image, using the same marker with multiple layers to get a darker shade for the chameleon's body and the ends of the crayon.
This card took much longer than it should have. I debated a long time on the position of the images and rearranged them so many times before gluing down. Then once I decided on a layout, it took a long time to get everything even and straight. I drew faint pencil lines with a ruler to help with the alignment, which I erased afterwards.
I arranged the colored images in rainbow order, left to right, but it occurred to me as I was taking the photo that this is also the order of traffic light colors!

LOL! When I selected the colors for this week's challenge I never thought of them as traffic light colors, that is humorous! Your three chameleon's are adorable and I believe you when you say they changed color with each crayon! I love your sweet card and appreciate you posting it!
