I thought that metal tape art would be a good way to incorporate a 500, so I went with that, using an assortment of number and arrow dies. Foil tape, a stylus to go round the edge of each shape for emphasis, a sewing marking wheel for extra texture lines, then black acrylic and Inka gold.
The image was stamped on white card. I used blue pencil on the sea, white crayon on the sails to act as resist, and then first some pencils on the map background and flags, and then Antique Linen over it all to bind it together. Cracked glass with two layers of UTEE, edged with a silver pen and popped up on foam. This will be a birthday card for one of DH's friends with a September birthday.

Wow-a lot of techniques in one card. Your work is like a class in itself!
Cracked glass-so cool looking and of course I will like metal tape. Using a sewing wheel for texture-great idea! The crayon to resist the antique linen later...
