I made the base of this journal for last year's Falliday and decided I need to continue to add things to it. This is for today's FS (Janet)....well done, Janet! Here is what I CASEd: Vintage dragonfly! by corrosive69 at Splitcoaststampers
This is also for yesterday's IC: https://www.minted.com/product/art/M...g=photo&shape=
Finally this is for Sharon's prompts for the August MMJ2022: napkin, stenciling, photo, postage stamp, lace.
I stenciled on the music paper, which is music I studied in high school. The focal point is a mounted napkin (purchased at the $1.25 store). The photograph is cut from my PBS magazine; it's a costume that was used for Downton Abbey. There is a show touring the country, happened to be in Milwaukee in May. I thought Hattie McDaniel's face on the postage stamp was perfect because there was no face on the manikin. Miss McDaniel was Mammy in Gone With the Wind, first African American to win an Oscar. I wanted to include the dragonfly from Janet's card and the IC picture and remembered I had a pair of dragonfly earrings in my stash. The lace might have been created by my Grandma, not sure.

Jean you nailed the challenge and what a great collage. You dressed Hattie so well. Love the dragonfly charm and use of your grandmothers lace. Interesting story too. Happy day

That dragonfly of Janet's was inspiring. I almost used it too. Love your page. You have put a lot of thought into the pieces you added. Love using the postage stamp for the head of the manequin.
