Time for another anniversary card for my hubby. I always try to capture something we've seen while together.
I got this stamp from Ompression Obsession. I actually started with the reflection. I ended up using the craft sheet on the Stamparatus. I had trouble getting a smooth stamp, so the Stamparatus let me try several times. Even with this i had to fill in the gaps on the craft sheet with a black Stampin Write marker. After you have a good stamp, quickly turn it over and place on the card, pressing it well. Since I had stamped it so many time on the craft sheet, the image was slightly blurry, which was perfect for the reflection.
Next I cleaned up the stamp and figured out the correct placement for the top image. Note: Normally I prefer to stamp the main image first and then the reflection. But that reflection was giving me heck!
Found a circle die that would cover the elephants. Put the outer part of post it around the elephant as a mask and brushed in Daffodil on upper and lower images.
Took off the mask and used the circle part as a mask to cover the Daffodil, so I could blend pink, then mango, then Terracotta. I think I'd like more mango and less pink.
If there is a gap between the two images, get a dauber and fill with Memento black. On the bottom half add white pen to simulate water moving. Added birds with marker. Stamped words in lower left.
Adhered this to very thin layers of black, Mango and more black paper.
Thanks for looking. If you like the card, please leave a comment.
