Hi! This week Kia has chosen a geranium tutorial for us to follow for Watercolor Wednesday. I decided to print a free line art drawing of the plant and then I lightly traced it onto my watercolor paper. Once I had the drawing done, I enjoyed the process of painting and learned a lot as I went along. I followed the artist's techniques as much as I was able for the painting. I still need to work on getting more light on my flowers.

I love the scale of this so much Angie, it really looks like you had a lot of room to let the water and paint flow across those leaves and petals ( Beautiful! )

I love your card and how you have painted the tips of the leaves with a bit of pinkish red. I did that, too, but it doesn't show much. Fabulous watercoloring.

Angie, you created a lovely geranium blossom and leaves. It's a small thing, but your buds are GORGEOUS! You've learned that is is a challenge to keep "the lights/whites". Think this is what seaprates watercolor from oils or acrylics.
