I learned the bow somewhere on SCS (or maybe somewhere that I was led to from here), but I can't find the instructions now. So here they are:
1. Punch once with the double rectangle punch to make two holes. You can use the hand-held (single) rectangle punch twice, but it's not easy to line up the holes nicely. The double rectangle punch is much easier!
2. Cut a piece of grosgrain ribbon about 8 or 9 inches long (angled ends will make this easier). Put both ends through from front to back.
3. On the back, make a loop with one of the ends. Put the loop through the opposite hole, from back to front. Repeat with the other end. Adjust length of loops. You should have two loops on the front of your piece and two ends sticking out the back.
4. On the back, take one of the ends and stick it up through the opposite hole, from back to front. Repeat with other end. Now both of your ends should be sticking out on the front.
5. Trim ends.
You have to kind of wiggle things around to make room to get all of the ribbon loops and ends through the holes, but it's not too hard once you've done it once or twice. Just kind of hold the stuff that's in your way off to the side of the hole while you cram the next thing through.
