For this weeks color challenge, I decided to use a medium that I hardly ever use âe" watercolor paints. I created the background by simply painting vertical stripes. On a separate piece of watercolor paper, I stamped and heated embossed the floral image using silver embossing powder.. I fussy cut the image and adhered it onto the background.
This card goes out to those of us who celebrate July birthdays. This includes the USA and me. I have always felt very fortunate to have a July birthday. It's always celebrated with either a picnic or a barbecue, no school, and it ends with fireworks.
Enjoy!

This is a perfect birthday card for a July birthday girl--you--and our country! I love the loose watercolored stripes--I'm not brave enough to try that! The flowers are so pretty!

Truly a stunning birthdat card. Your free-handed watercolor stripes are GREAT! Only outdone by the silver-embossed gorgeous red flowers. Happy Birthday!!
