I have seen several circle-cutout cards that are showcasing this marvelous pelican, so I thought I should try one.
I abhor wasting materials, so reasoned if I cut two circles of the blue-reversing-to-yellow DSP and then cut across them in the same place I would get circles for TWO cards! I stacked the circles and used the long section of a Friendly Silhouettes die to cut both layers and it worked perfectly. I adhered them to a smaller white circle (the same size used on the white panel.
However, in my concern to make sure the blue ocean was down and the yellow sky was up I forgot that I needed to attach the ribbon before adhering the front panel. My fix (after coloring the white ribbon with a Pacific Point blend) was halving Glue Dot Minis and adhering at the fold and each outer edge - which I then trimmed and hoped it looked wrapped LOL.
This is also the first time I have stacked the labels, which I like and will repeat!
