I received a lovely flat RAK this week, an envelope full of scraps, and when I went in my craft room today, it was on the desk where I had already used some of the bits to make a quick card the other day. I wanted to send a thank you with some scraps in return so I used some of the RAK gift to make a thank you card.
The banner with letters, the printed piece, and the two different die cut square pieces all came from the RAK and I noticed how nicely they coordinated together. I decided to use a kraft card base and organized the papers on the card to a design I liked. The banner was not really standing out so I backed it with a bit of black cardstock before attaching it. I stamped the sentiment on the olive green piece in Versamark and embossed in black, and the medallion from Circle Circus on the black square and embossed in gold. I popped both up with foam tape. It still needed something, and in further serendipity, a new die arrived in the mail and was also sitting on the desk. I grabbed a scrap of lack cardstock and cut out a raven and liked the way he looked, so he got added to the card, and then I called it done!
USEIT2022 - paper scraps! Also used a brand new die that literally arrived today, and two older SU sets. Iâve had Circle Circus for a few months and have not used it much yet, and Thank You Blocks is very old (it says 2001 on the stamps and Iâm pretty sure itâs a set I bought new!) and deserves more use.
TFL!
