Today we are getting our inspiration from BABA SOUK, a fabulous site chosen by Kia - great choice. I chose to do my hunting thru the Pinterest site and found this for my inspiration: https://pin.it/suydB4i today.
I lightly spritzed the card stock, placed it in the embossing folder and ran it thru my machine 3 times. Used heat gun to remove any moisture. Placed the die over the embossed piece and die cut. It does not cut close to the edges of the flowers and stems, and is going on a black base, so to avoid leaving a white margin around it, I colored the edges with black, then colored the blooms and stems. Colored a piece of scrap card stock with green and die cut the sentiment. Colored bits of card stock and punched dots. Assembled all the pieces onto a black base and covered the dots with glaze.

Wow, these flowers are absolutely stunning! So much depth and texture. Very clever to color the edges with black before mounting them on your black background. Gorgeous card!

California Poppies! These are so beautifully colored and they really stand out against the black background. I love the bits of green on the stems, buds and sentiment. Your sure made an amazing card inspired by some baked sweet potato chips!
