Time to get out my new Lavinia Stamps. This card will be a Birthday Card for a very good friend of mine who comes from the Lake of the Woods area in northern Ontario. I just knew that these beavers were perfect for a card for her and hoped that they would get here in time to for me to make the card.
The background was coloured with distress inks on Bristol card. The scene was created by sponging the bank of the lake in the background and then adding little tree stamps. Trees were added to the foreground to frame the lake. Added lots of flowers and highlighted them with Posca pens and glitter pens. Stamped the beavers with Brilliance Graphite Black using Misti.
Just imagine there is more pink in the sky and the more aqua in the blue water of the lake. I am done with arguing with the computer today.
Hope you enjoy.

what a beautiful fairy land background you've created! luv the beavers too. we have have some teenagers down by our brook - they gnaw down ones too big to haul back to the brook so just leave them laying around lol.

I am an admirer of beavers though some people don't care for them. They have downed plenty of trees at the cottage and as long as the trees don't land on the roof I am ok with it. Your scene is gorgeous and reminds me of July mornings up north.
