Jen is our Teapot Hostess and, along with Anne, we are challenged to send birthday cards to Jay whose birthday is on Valentine's Day. I made a bit of a combination birthday and valentine to help Jay celebrate his 80th birthday. Since Anne tells us that DH, Jay, was a math teacher and he loves crossword and sudoku, the clipart images on his card feature those 3 things. The sudoku image has a red heart-shaped design which serves as a valentine for Jay. Using letter dies, I made an eclipse style feature with his name. I stamped the sentiment and matted with black cardstock. The main panel was matted in green.
Thank you, Jen and Anne, for giving us the opportunity to bring birth-entine cheer to Jay.

oh my gosh... no words to describe the detail in this card. Amazing... I can't say enough... just awesome. The details are just fabulous, especially using the name JAY across the front in raised but matching colors...

Wow. You did brilliantly here and I know Jay is going to love this. Super work finding the appropriate clipart, and a great idea to use eclipse technique for his name.

Adding my "AMAZING" to your gallery of admirers. You hit all the right marks. I love all the images and that heart in the sudoko was the perfect finishing touch. I think this will be a sure winner with Jay.
