This took me longer than I'd anticipated. Since I wanted to make this truly "my own", I tried sketching some pots that are sitting in my back yard. As I started to paint, I realized I not only had to account for the natural shadows on a round object but also the shadows cast by the other pots! That plus the fact that the shadows inside the lip of the pots was opposite what was outside . . . Tricky, for sure, but I am very happy with my first attempt at a still life.

It is gorgeous, Linda, and I am glad Angie told you what she did about the drying or not. The reason is because I let my shadow dry as she said on the video and then mine was too dark. Well, it is a learning moment. Your shadows look fabulous and I love your pot shapes.

So well done, it’s all the little things they draw me to your painting. So well done. I hope you frame this I’m not sure what size it is but it’s worthy of a frame. If I knew how to make this my favourite I would so just know it’s my favourite. Sorry still don’t see how to make this a favourite.

You did a brilliant job! There would certainly be several shadows with multiple pots. You achieved gorgeous pottery with shadows! The framing is really fun too! Simply beautiful!
