I used ephemera to create focal points for my cards. The greetings were cut with word and letter dies from silver cardstock (one was frosted silver and the other mirrored silver). I used a stitched scalloped rectangle die to cut front panels and or mats for my ephemera. I also used an embossing folder for the pink background on the first card and a potato sack to add texture to the white mate for the mailbox. The second card features a triple-colored front panel which I created by cutting 1.25" x 5.25" strips of red, pink, and light green cardstock and adhering them to a white piece of cardstock. I used the stitched scalloped rectangle die with the triple-colored front panel to cut a background for my cupcakes and candy jar. To embellish the cards, I used a piece of string to tie a bow around the candy jar and some crystal nuvo drops in morning dew (clear color) to add shine and dimension to the hearts on both cards.
