On January first,n I made a beautiful birthday card for my friend Sharon. I stored it in acspecial place, and today is her birthday, and I cannot find the card. This is her consolation card. I needed inspiration, so went to Leslie's gallery and found this card. Hand-Penned Petals by leslielarkin at Splitcoaststampers
I had never made a card with skewed panels, so th8s was a first. I am glad I tried it.
I have had this flower stamp and die set for many years, but this is only the second time I have used it. Leslie used the 'hand penned dsp on her card, so * chose one of those papers too, and coloured the flowers to match (sort of) I cut 2 scslloped contour panels, one in white and one in blue and ended up using the blue behind the flowers. They were popped up on dimensionsls. A sentiment and gems were added.

So beautiful. I love challenges bc they get me to do things I never would have otherwise. The skewed panels are nice and I adore your colors and large flowers!

I too, loved that card of Leslie's and want to make more. I love the look of offset panels. Yours is really pretty! Love the background pretty print and the solid color panels. Now I shall fave yours as well! I have done the same with going to find a card and not finding it. It is maddening.

Beautiful. Beautiful dp and I ove that you chose the blue panel as those flowers definitely pop off that. I don't think Sharon is getting a "consolation" card at all. This is too beautiful to be a runner-up.

I spend hours every day searching for something I just had, forgive me for laughing it was really laughing at myself. And what a beautiful consolation!
