This took me several tries to get this scene just right. Not one, not two but 6 TRIES!! I just hate my trees but these are better than the last 5 attempts. I made this a winter card since I am done with my Christmas cards for the year. I got my Christmas cards done by Oct because I was scheduled to having surgery on my thumb then but it has been delayed till January now.

Your Pine trees look super and keep in mind, especially with watercolor, often it's the illusion we strive for rather than an exact depiction. As you do more of the challenges, you will start to find your own personal style - took me about a year and a half to find mine - lol.

I like your pine trees they've got a kind of Asian look, and the colors in your scene are beautiful, I hope you've kept the 5 other attempts surely you could use them for some die cuts or punching, or background....

Oh, I love it! I know what you mean about the trees giving trouble. I had to do mine twice because of the trees and I still don't love my trees but twice was all the energy I had this week. Your scene is beautiful! Oh, that is so amazing that you were able to get your cards all addressed so early. Sadly with getting sick, mine are all over my craft room. Needing envelopes (this cardmaker ran out of envelopes), needing stamps, needing to be addressed. I am hopeless! Anyway....I love that you were able to play along and make a beautiful, warm wishes painting!

We all are our worst critics. This card is charming with the beautiful colors of the sky. I think trees are difficult too. We just have to practice, practice.. Good luck with your thumb surgery. It's always a treat to see one of your paintings in the challenge. TFS

Oh rats on the delay...because hospitals are full?? I'm so glad you didn't give up.....you'll be happy eventually, I'm sure. I'm very happy looking at it.
