This card should have been so easy.... Took me about 6 (or more) tries to actually get the 'prayers' die cut to come out of the die without ripping. Tried all the tricks I could think of - wax paper, double wax paper, thicker cardstock - (even tried being patient). Eventually, putting two pieces of cardstock and the die through my Big Shot at once made it possible to get a good cut that I could coax out of the die. Will probably stick to using the stamp in the future...
I chose this card from our Featured Stamper's gallery:
Used an alcohol ink bg instead of a stamped bg.
Changed the colors of the card.
Used a die cut wildflower instead of a stamped flower.
Even found a package of peel off stickers in my sticker stash for use in the top right corner.
The bg was made with a variety of alcohol inks and mica spray on Yupo paper. Chose the Cool Caribbean base to pull those colours from the bg piece. Finished the sentiment with Wilted Violet ink on white cardstock. Added the TH stem along the left.

Oh how frustrating, but I'm glad you finally got it because that die cut looks wonderful against that gorgeous AI bg. And I love the smaller block sentiment and how it works the prayer die cut. I know what you mean about maybe using the stamp instead of the die in the future, but I think the stamp would not have looked quite as good. The depth of the die cut really helps it pop off your bg. Beautiful card.

What a stunning alcohol ink background! The colors are just gorgeous. I had problems with that die, too. Cranking it through the CuttleBug several times helped some.

We have to love and hate our die cits sometimes! Love them when they work correctly! Oh, I love this gorgeous background, and the white pops beautifully on it. Love this!

Izzy, your backround is so fabulous and fun. I am with you on those skinny little dies and one day I really am going to try and remember that wax paper trick. Super pretty case and a great card. Hugz

Heather, this is a great case of Amy's card. I love the beautiful alcohol background you created. The white sentiment and branch really poo against it. I feel your pain with die cuts that don't want to come out of the die. I wish I could share some of the solutions I have found to work but you listed them all in your description. LOL! I'm glad you stuck with it because the dies created beautiful dimension and interest.
