I bought a pad of black watercolor paper for last December's VSN, and never had time to join the challenge - which was to use metallic paints on black watercolour paper. And I've only used it once...so it was time to pull it out again. I used the set from Creative Stamping, stamping the heart frame in Delicata gold, and the leafy elements in picket fence, to give me outlines to paint. Everything else is done with Twinkling H2Os, plus a gel pen to add some detail to the pine bough which is my least favourite element and DH's favourite. I painted a little blue butterfly in the centre, and added "peace" cut from brushed gold card. Edged the cream base with one gold line and the black layer with two. It looks crooked - but even to DH's critical eye it's not in reality, I think it's from tilting it to get the gold lettering!
