My biggest collection (Other than about 80 books with the illustrations done by John Strickland Goodall) is of Madonnas. It began when my first child was born. I received a mother and child Hummel from a friend. Somehow a collection grew. What is in the case in the dining room is only a part of that collection.
On top of the case are two special pieces. One is a wood sculpture commissioned by a friend of "Our Lady of Good Harbor", the patron of fishermen, who stands cradling a boat above the church in Gloucester MA. That was my Great Uncle Eddie's church. The other is a gold icon in a glass case gotten out of Czechoslovakia when it was invaded, given to me by a friend of my mother's, who was that escapee!
My card represents all my Madonnas, and I think it could be used especially as a Christmas card.

What a nice backstory. I have hearts here...for Valentine's day every year I would pick a heart for my DH to give me. Some are 3 dollar ornaments, some are hand blown glass...and a couple are high end-one from Stuben and one from Tiffany. Those collections like the one from the escapee...are so precious to us and bring us joy not normal for a material thing. I really extra cherish them now that he is gone.
Your card is lovely and certainly could be used for Christmas.

That lavender & white card is fabulous, from the ornate frame for your Madonna to the lush ribbon gracing the side. Beautiful collection and it sounds lie there are wonderful stories and memories to go with each one of you figurines.
