WT857 = something in our home to inspire us. I chose a cloisonne paperweight that has a butterfly pattern.
The bg was created by sizing a piece of white CS, then dropping it face down into a box filled with gilding flakes of mixed metals. It was then burnished and sealed. TH DI were applied and it was burnished and sealed again. Then it was embossed with two folders. The butterfly was stamped on white CS with VM and then heat embossed with gold. I used watercolors to color it....adding a few details with dark brown Copics. The butterfly was then coated with clear EP for shine and glued onto the bg. The photo does not show the glow of the metallic bg and also I had to keep the shine off the butterfly since it would only appear as a glare.

Sallie,
I really like that you have two different embossing folders in the bg, so cool to see and such a wonderful transition from one to the other! Beautiful colors and technique!!

The background is beautiful and intriguing. The butterfly is absolutely wow! The embossing certainly gives a great enamelled look. No wonder it seems to glow and shimmer.
