Karen has some awesome summer colors for us this week with "anything goes" for dessert. Evidently I chose dots... or is it gingham. I used dots two different ways, so dots it is!
I did a dotted twist on an old favorite. Normally I stamp the outline of the flower on the base layer but when that seemed too busy with the gingham I pulled out these pretty Pattern Party papers that needed to be cut. The little pin point dots seemed to be just what the big dahlia and gingham needed. I broke my rule of odd numbered dots with the big matt dots. Maybe if I count the others it will end up being odd...
I sure hope you can play along with us this week! ...and don't forget to check out the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges. They are looking awesome!

How beautiful, Chris! I love the expert shading on the dahlia and the golden glow behind it. A perfect use of this week's colors. I love the gingham and the dots. 123, 124, 125, . . .

Yes Chris that is what I say "you inspire me"! It looks like sunshine peeking from behind your pretty dahlia. Love your choice of using the black and white gingham ribbon for the perfect accent. TFS

Such a pretty card Chris! I love the play of patterns with the pin dots and gingham. And your two dots are perfect. I know the old rule of thumb about odd numbers but sometimes breaking the rules is just what is needed!

Oh, Chris, this is So So Pretty! I love the sponged or blended mango; it gives a really warm feel to this card. Pretty gingham ribbon and bow added on the angle~
