Hello! I am playing along with this week's Teapot Challenge. We are going back to school this week so we better eat our fruits and veggies, right? LOL. I am going to send this to my sister who has not only graduated from college but embarked on her new career in her 50s! Her story really is amazing and I am so proud of her. Last week was her very first day of school teaching 1st Grade!
Goodness, I always appreciated teachers even when I was frustrated with them but hearing my sister's stories gives me even more appreciation! She has worked all summer to get ready. She has spent lots of her own money to set up her room and has worked 12/13 hours a day since before school started. Yikes! Wish we lived closer so I could help her! Naturally, I am rooting for her! She has a great sense of humor so I think she is going to laugh at this!

I am impressed with your sister too! Teaching is far more time consuming than people know-they think you get to leave at 3 every day and have summers off. I hope she loves it! The little ones are far more forgiving of newbie teachers
Fun card. That carrot looks a little British to me...maybe the mustache and glasses combo? lol

This is so cute, and sure to make your sister smile! Yes, as a retired teacher I can tell you it's not the job most people think it is. Best wishes to your sister this year! I hope she enjoys it!
