For our July Tickle a Teapotter Sonja has us taking one of our Teapotter friends on an adventure. I had a hard time narrowing it down to just one place. I've been to a lot of cool places....some of my favorites are Salzburg, Austria, Bavaria, all of Ireland but the Aran Islands in particular. On a side note to Sabrina....the people of Ireland are the friendliest people I've ever met. OK back to my destination...I decided I'd like to go somewhere I've never been so I chose the place where my parents went on their honeymoon.....Lake Louise and Banff National Park in Canada. It's kind of funny that they went there as my mom was not the outdoorsy type at all. Anyway...I'm not really a beach person and my fantasy trip would be to see the wonders of nature. So I painted some mountains and a lake....I wonder who will be traveling with me....???

What a beauty - lucky whoever receives this. It's so serene and peaceful looking, you must be still influenced by your lakeside retreat. We considered Canada for our honeymoon (Manitoulin Island) but in the end settled for a cottage in the west of Ireland.

Beautiful, serene painting. I would love to visit Banff, too. Not only is it renowned for great snow skiing, but they have fabulous golf courses, too. What a great choice! Thanks for playing in my Teapotter challenge.

Wonderful painting, Polly - My nephew had a destination wedding in Banff and while I couldn't go, the pictures posted by family were magnificent. You have captured the majesty of the mountains and the crystal clear waters.

Lovely watercolour painting. Banff and Lake Louise are beautiful gems in Canada and I've been 3 or 4 times. I'd say your mother went, not out of love of the outdoors, but out of love for your father.

Polly, this is a lovely, peaceful scene, so beautifully watercoloured! I haven’t been to Canada but would certainly join you there - Mum has always said Banff and Lake Louise was her favourite OS trip~
