It's an inspiration challenge, she did say we could go anywhere and since there's not much demand for patriotic stars and stripes cards here, I ran with the colours (and some added neutrals). There's an element of striping in my lumber background.
For the background, I embossed white card and then sponged with the three blues and a little white. Spattered with water.
The wreath has a twig layer cut from my DIY faux wood (as is the sentiment. Mix re-inker with PVA glue and spread with a foam brush. Leave to dry.)
The leafy layer and extra leaves were cut from Bazzill, as were the white flowers. The red rose-hips were cut from watercolour paper and coloured with regular watercolour and Twinkling H2Os. The little bird was stamped and embossed with clear on white card, and coloured with Inktense pencils. He has some Paprika stickles on his crest, Glossy Accents on his beak and a shimmer of SN clear glitter pen on his chest. I edged with a black pen and added some Posca pen dots - there's also some white ink spattered over the background before I added the wreath.

Oh, this is fabulous! Love the wood background - the blue works beautifully with the other colours. The border is wonderful too, love the wobbly double line.

So pretty, Sabrina, I love wreaths on cards. I'm always looking for something new to put on my front door, not always a wreath. I've been known to hang some pretty different stuff.
