I needed an envelope to fit the oversized card I made for the Free For All Challenge - F4A590 - Dog Days- 6/11/21. Found this brown bag colored paper pocket in my stash, checked to see that the card fit inside (it did!), and then decorated it to coordinate with the dog themed card.
The only reason I wanted to upload this pocket envy was to share a couple of fun things I was able to do to it to up its cuteness factor. I didn't want to mess up the front of the pocket with my sloppy handwriting, so I diecut the letters for our friends name from leftover piece from the card. Then I paperpieced a couple of tiny parts from the doggie stamps to make it look like the dog on the left painted the lettering and the dog on the right got some of the paint on his nose! It was darling in real life, photo doesn't do it justice! Haâe¦
One other fun detail on this pocket is the curved stamped sentiment that fit on the ruffled curve of pocket. It is hidden when card is inside the pocket and is revealed when card is removed. The sentiment reads - Today is a lovely day for happiness! Isn't that the perfect sentiment for a birthday greeting?!
This was so much fun to make, and it made for a cute presentation for the doggie card.
Thanks for stopping by to peek at my decorated envelope for the F4A590 Challenge.
Happy day to you!
