Not difficult, just time consuming. This is pretty much a steal from Natasha Foote. She did a video with this technique she calls retiform. I've never seen this before, at least not the way I know retiform, so gave it a try. Only color I had was old olive.
I cut a rectangle of scrap cs and traced with the Sharpie, going in different directions. I used DOx inks (spun sugar, victorian velvet and vintage photo) to sponge on color, not very smoothly so it would look more vintage, edged a bit with the vintage photo, then stamped in the black. I masked with many post it notes. I used two markers to color most of the leaves and then sponged a little lilac on the centers of the flowers and butterflies. A few butterfly gems completes this. I think I will add a little glitter pen and finally a sentiment. Couldn't decide the occasion, maybe anniversary for my sister and brother in law. Our dresses were these colors for their wedding.

Your sister will appreciate the color scheme since it matches her wedding colors .... your card is so pretty and the technique must have been fun to do.
