Our TLC today was hosted by Karen (k dunbrook) and we are eclipsing on our cards! I have long admired the many cards in the gallery that use this technique. I don't have an abundance word dies; however, I came across this Brusho'ed leaf in the stash box and thought this would be a great time to use it.
I die cut 2 dark green grateful and one pale blue. So my grateful is 4 thick. You have to work to see the word as it is a bit busy in the leaf pattern. I do like it, though you have to work at seeing it. And sort of a metaphor for life. What you think you see might not be exactly as it is!
I am grateful for all the Veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in service for our country and freedom throughout the world. I hope in our non CoVid pandemic future, we can get back to the parades, speeches, pancake/hotdog breakfasts and lunch that honor our heroes and teach by example our children!
Thank you, Karen for bringing us a beautiful TLC this week! And I would enjoy hearing about your Memorial Day traditions...

What an absolutely stunning leaf and gorgeous card! I am encouraged to hear people talk about what Memorial Day is really about and remembering those who gave all.

I wish I had a brushos leaf in my stash...LOL. This is amazing Susan...and such an unique piece to use for an eclipse word. The bit of bg blue in the darker shade is wonderful...creates a lot of depth.
I have memories of following the Memorial Day parade that went right by our house up to the Veterans cemetery part of the main cemetery. They always held a moving ceremony and there were Vets there wearing their VFW hats and other military garb. It still has an impact on me so many years later....
