The summer our mums died I remember seeing lots of yellow butterflies. Some of you may remember we took on Mum's dog Tess and I always used to tell her that "it was her Mrs checking up on her". For the WCW challenge I tried to paint the delicate yellow butterflies but they aren't quite right. I used some blue pan pastel on the background over the splodges and mounted on scallop layer and card base.

Good work, Janine, on these pretty butterflies. I do remember your dog, Tess, but did not remember it was your mom's first. The yellow with the blue background looks great together.

This is just filled with sunshine! My first notice was the feel of motion especially in the bottom butterfly - I can sense the fluttery movement in those wings. - love the tiny dots you added then realized they mimicked the dots in your scalloped border. Beautiful light-hearted card.

I think your butterflies turned out great! Just enough outlining to define them but they don't look drawn in! The color is fun and sunny and the scallops emphasize that nicely!
