ETA - thank you Pat for the suggestion of the ladybird on the stem. Added, perfect.
For Janelle's Adorn Your Torn MIXed media challenge.
Plenty going on here, I have a gel print which was overpainted with dilute gold Stickles from the end of a bottle. I tore the edges, coloured the reverse with Gelatos and curled them slightly. The next layer under that is the Stampendous peony black stamped on white card, torn, and with the edges dressed up with more gold Stickles (from a new bottle). The base layer is the Katzel flowers stamped and embossed with gold, and a sprinkling of chunky gold. I added some bisters in natural and green. Flowers coloured with Couleur D'Art pencils and blended with Zest-It. I used red Stickles to frame the whole thing. Tried assorted butterflies but they were all too big or too small. Added the sentiment stamped and embossed in white on dark navy card. It looks better in real life - DH had gone back to work by the time I was ready to take a photo and my best lit spot is right in front of his desk. I might add a little ladybird in somewhere to pick up on the red Stickles frame, but it's time to get on with house stuff right now.

I love all of the layers and how your tore and curled them. The stickles are pretty, especially on that one that you over painted with the bottom of the bottle bits. A ladybug would be fun climbing up the stem of one of those cool flowers.
