I did watch the video on Wed and painted this little scene last night and ended up adding the leaves on the stems of the lavender in the front as the stuff in my garden is a very woody plant and since its in flower beds and or pots there are not really blades of grass in mine. So, painting the grass looked odd to me, and knowing how woody these plants are I cannot imagine laying in a field of them but, you know I love Lavender and I really did try. I even added the salt to the first layer of hazy blooms but, it really did not do much of anything for me when dry either. So, I was totally impressed with how much water looking bloom that lady got on hers. I had let this sit all day just so I could take another look at it tonight and decided it was OK the way it is and I did not add another round of leaves and stems and such today. (last night that was debatable) Thanks for this challenge Kia, & tfl.

This looks beautiful, Stacy, and your sentiment seems to express my feelings about my water coloring experiences every week.

That is a great sentiment for watercolor, Stacy. I love your Lavender. I couldn't find my salt ( I have a little bag of sea salt somewhere) so I just didn't use it. Your card base is really pretty to bring more color to the painting.

Your lavender looks great Stacy, I've seen the big lavender fields here in France and didn't want to lay down in them, it's forbidden...and they are very well protected, I love your painting with the fading background which takes the eyes into the details in the foreground!!

Wow, Stacy, this is just gorgeous. I love that big field of new and old lavender. You really showed where blooms had been as well as new blooms. The framing looks great, also. So glad you joined us this week and gave us this beauty.
