I love a good pun. I saw a card on Pinterest that put me in mind of this "Punny Fruits & Veggies" stamp set. (Sadly, that set is discontinued.) I used the peas stamp for my image & made a custom greeting with alphabet stamps.
I cut a piece of vellum bristol to the size in the sketch, & stamped the image a few times using my MISTI (to get a good solid line) with Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with my Prismacolor pencils. I added a narrow black mat, & trimmed off the top & left sides of that so it looks more like an offset shadow. Then I adhered that to a panel of white cardstock, to give it an instant photo print look.
I cut a strip of "Watercolor" paper to size, & used "Smitty's ABCs" with Versafine ink to spell out my greeting. I adhered that to a piece of pink chevron patterned paper that I'd mounted to a white card base. I added my image panel, & that finished this quick & cute card!
