I'm happy and honored to be the CC838 hostess for this month. Have you ever wanted your dessert before your meal? Well, here's the dessert menu for this week... 'add your favorite color'! To what you might ask? Basic Black, Basic White, and Basic Gray, yes, we are going back to the basics this week!
My simple design this week is featuring diagonal strips from the designer paper 'True Love'. The Basic Gray card base has been scored with horizontal line every 1/2", to bring some interest to the plain base. The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White square then adhered to a Basic Gray square matte, then a Basic Black square matte was added slightly offset from the others to create a little dimension. The squares were then adhered to the card base as triangles. A ribbon bow and faceted gems were added to bring out a girlie touch to go with the sentiment.
I hope you all have a enjoy with having your dessert first! I would love to see your take on this week's challenge! Thank you for taking a look!

LeAnn, kudos to you for picking an absolutely unique and amazing color combo for us this week! The choices are endless, and each idea is so lovely. The gallery this week is going to be superb. Speaking of superb, so is your card! I love the striped panel, just the right size for the card, love the greeting and the bow and gems! Beautiful!

What a creative way to approach these colors, LeAnn! I love your diagonal stripes and your sequins are unexpected but perfect accents! Thanks for such a fun challenge.

Thanks for the great colors for the challenge this week, LeeAnn. Choosing our own color for dessert is genius.
Your card is delightfully happy with all the wonderful strips of designer paper. Such a creative way to use up some of those scraps. Time to dig through my DSP scraps and create something new.
