Thank you Dina, for selecting the Panetone color of 2021. This year it had to be a pair of colors...that play so well together! To say I love this combination is really an understatement. But it wasn't always true.*
I immediately thought of my Pepin Press Fashion Book (love this treat from Jean)! These fashions were my mother. I fussy cut three of the elegant '50's ladies in the tones of Panetone 2021. A slimline card called to me as well.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed and then cut apart to make it fit my ladies. I used a Copic 'Acid Yellow' to highlight the words. Aren't all of our lives a chapter in the book of our life? I stenciled the Kite Stencil 'Beatnik' pattern across the gray panel. It was sponged with 'Pumice Stone'. I added a slightly larger yellow panel to bring out the happy hue. A ruffled vintage seam binding trim.
* side story...if you read on. When my first son was born, the shower announcements asked for nothing yellow. The same message went out when the second son was honored. The funny thing is that Yellow has been &d's favorite color his whole life! So I've had a few decades to get used to it. And it has snuck into my home decor, my clothes, and even my paper art. It just makes me ridiculousy happy!
Thanks so much for stopping by, please tell me what color is your happy place!

I had to giggle at this one! It reminds me of the great women, like Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ava Gardner and Eve Arden, it sounds like something they would say. I love the ladies, it sure brings back memories!!
