I stamped the stripes in a pattern on both sides that would show for the card. I didn't, however, do precision stamping which is why you don't see the stripes continuing at the bottom of the card. The alignment was off enough that I opted to skip that step.
I followed the directions in the tutorial (except for that one part). I stamped my poinsettia on Bristol paper, heat embossed it, and then watercolored and fussy cut it out. Inside I stamped a different poinsettia and then heat embossed the sentiment over it.

Great innovation. I tried with a striped paper for my first one and it didn't line up correctly either, so I scrapped it. You made a good solution. Thanks for taking the double dare!
