I was planning not to do Cathy's "What's Old is New" Challenge since I rarely stamp (it's amazing how this community is SplitcoastSTAMPERS, but you guys still include me even if most of my cards do not use a stamp - and I'm so grateful for this!)...but, I do have some stamps! And I was reminded of this when I saw Dawn's "Lucky Token" Challenge. Ten years ago, I won some stamps from a DTGD Challenge drawing. I tried stamping, but since I didn't have the proper tools, what I did didn't turn out well. I still kept the stamps though, because I felt lucky to have them (I don't think I've ever won anything in a drawing). Fast forward to present, and my daughter has brushes and watercolors that I can borrow (and maybe later on steal, LOL), so I inked this stamp for the very first time...and now I'm kicking myself for not doing more!
This is a "Thank You" to Splitcoaststampers and all the wonderful people who make this place inclusive and encouraging.

Well, what a lovely stamp and one would never know that you were not at home with stamping and colouring. I like that the branch has both the lemons and the flowers...
My favourite card of yours is still the one with the shells, the tide pool scene. No stamping there, but I often go back and look at it. And I know how gorgeous your flowers are!

What a wonderful story! You just never know when we’ll spread out wings and fly! I loved reading your commentary...and genuinely hope you will be inking other rubber/polymer stamps. Your coloring for the lemons is lovely!

My apologies, Gem-35, if I misunderstood which site I was on when I read the winner of the Favorite Card.
I'm reviewing again and recognize I was wrong when I thought I was wrong! (This is normal language for me.....sorry). You are the winner for week Feb. 15! The one I thought I had erred about was apparently the week before....it had not occurred to me to look at the date.
