This card is one of ten that I created for Christmas 2021 using long ago retired stamp sets and tools from Stampin' Up!
I pulled out my crimper tool to crimp the "lace" created with the Eyelet Border Punch (remember that punch ladies?) and also inked up a sentiment from the retired Country Comfort set (2004) in addition to the cardinal from Beauty of the Season (circa 2014).
I am linking to the following SCS Challenges, and since this is a Christmas card for this coming year, I will not be sharing on my blog (any questions re: please feel free to ask):
CCC21JAN, CCC21 Christmas Card challenge- I created 10 of this design using the monthly theme, Cardinal
SCSCCJAN21 Fan Club Christmas Card Challenge- are you a Fan Club Member yet? We would love to have you play along :-)
USEIT2021 I have not inked up these stamp sets in ages plus the border punch and crimper are also neglected tools
ABC14H8 H= Holiday, I chose Christmas
Hugs and thanks again for taking the time to look- you are all such a wonderful encouragement to me!

Crimped border brings to mind gathered eyelet lace, which I love. The cardinal with just a touch of black matting really stands out in this pretty design!

Fabulous! You have a way of using the retired stamps and tools in a fresh new way. Love the crimped eyelet border. Yes, I remember and still have that punch. Love the black & white with a pop of red on the cardinal. Beautifully done!
