Top tip: I laid my acetate over a sheet of grid paper whilst attaching the strips of paper, and that helped ensure that they were evenly lined up.

Making this last night kept me from going to bed too early - but the lighting isn't that much better this morning!
I wanted to use the origami bird for my die inset, so I decided to sacrifice some long-hoarded papers. Tried the bird with both just the black outline and as you see it. It's added to a layer embossed with the Subtle ef for a little extra texture, and then onto a white base. The poor lighting today didn't allow me to capture the dimension, but if you tried the challenge, you know what it's like...

Yes this technique is much more effective IRL than in a picture where the depth perception just seems to disappear. I love the soft muted tones of blue & lilac which give this a feeling of serenity. I particularly like how you encapsulated the lotus blossom in the body of your origami bird.

Gorgeous papers and I love the origami bird. This has a beautifully soft look and the lines look perfect. Good tip on using a grid. Love the texture on the white mat. Another beautiful card.
